We're looking for a team player to take the lead in delivering exceptional and safe experiences for our guests and our employees at Northlands Park. The Venue Security Manager will coordinate and manage the security functions of this gaming and entertainment centre by providing leadership and supervision to a diverse team of security supervisors and officers. The successful candidate will also provide support to the Security Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a large staff team comprised of supervisors and officers responsible for providing security services at Northlands Park.
• Provide performance management and development opportunities.
• Create and maintain budgets.
• Participate in department-wide strategic planning initiatives.

Skills and Experience

• Supervisor and management experience preferred.
• Training and teaching experience a definite asset.
• Previous casino and/or racing and entertainment experience would be an asset
• Previous police or senior roles in a private security environment also an asset
• Post-secondary certificate or diploma in security, law enforcement or a related field (Grade 12 or equivalent).
• Performance management training certification or experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office are also definite assets.
• A police security clearance and Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission registration are also required.
