We're looking for a team player to take the lead in delivering exceptional and safe experiences for our guests and our employees at Northlands. The successful candidate will coordinate and manage the security functions of Rexall Place, EXPO Centre and Northlands Park, by providing leadership and supervision to Venue Security Managers.

Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in determining and approving appropriate physical security measures within all Northlands facilities.
• Guide and direct security operations of all facilities in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Provide support to Venue Security Managers, and advise and direct the actions and performance of the following staff teams: mobile security response team; building security staff; security supervisors; and event security team officers.
• Responsible for strategic communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Create and maintain budgets.

Skills and Experience

• Supervisor and management experience is required.
• Training and teaching experience in facilities management and crowd management.
• Law enforcement experience dealing with criminal investigation and prosecution is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary certificate or diploma (Security or Law Enforcement).
• Performance management experience or certification.
• Crowd management experience or certification.
• CPP or other security-related designations.
• Equivalencies will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Office are also definite assets.

A police security clearance and Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission registration is required.
