The Edmonton Police Service and the RCMP are proud to be hosting the 105th annual conference of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) in Edmonton from August 22  25th, 2010. This national conference brings together police leaders from across Canada. The delegates spend four days in sessions exchanging ideas, information and experience. 

An important part of the conference is the Tradeshow, considered to be one of the largest exhibitions of business information and police equipment in Canada.  As a security management professional, CACP is inviting you to attend this important tradeshow on Tuesday, August 24, 2010.

This is to advise you the Calgary Police Service (CPS); Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) will be offering Level I Basic Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). This year, due to the demand for Level 1 Basic CPTED Training, we are offering 2 Level 1 Basic CPTED courses on two separate weeks. We will not be offering the Level 2 Advanced CPTED this year. As usual, the courses will be held in Calgary at the Rosebud Room, McDougall Centre, Southern Alberta Office of the Premier, 455 - 6 Street SW, from 08:00 to 16:00 each day. Uninterrupted attendance will be required in order to qualify for a certificate. There will be a field trip exercise whereby the students will conduct a security audit on a premise.
