Election of Chapter Officers for 2014
Elections for next year's Chapter Officers occurred during the 27 November luncheon. There were no names put forward in advance and all four current officers allowed their names to stand. The Nominating Committee asked for nominations from the floor. There being none, all four current officers were re-appointed by acclamation. The Chapter 156 Executive roster for 2014 is as follows:

The Edmonton ASIS chapter is holding a second information night on December 3, 2013 at 1730 hrs at the WCB Jarvis Building (9925-107 street) for those who missed the first one on November 17. Check in with security on the first floor.
This brief meeting will provide lots of information about how you can join in the annual study programs starting in January 2014.
This no-cost orientation session will help you decide what program suits you and how much time will be needed for preparation.

Congratulations to Geoff Frisbee who was honoured at the ASIS Convention "Canada Night". Geoff was awarded the Ron Minion Canadian Security Industry Pioneer Award. This annual award is presented to a Canadian security professional who has consistently worked for the betterment of the security industry over an extended period of time.

ASIS membership dues will increase in 2014 from $150 to $195 per year. This will be the first increase since 2003 and reflects the increasing costs incurred by our growing fraternity. Renewals are due now.
