Greeting Colleagues from the other side of the globe,

 

I've been in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for 3-weeks now and so far enjoying the project.  I hope to see many of you at the ASIS Annual Conference in Orlando in September where we can "catch up over some adult refreshments."

 

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, notwithstanding the mosquito invasion I am told has infested Edmonton. I want to congratulate our very own Dale Yushchyshyn, CPP, the long-term Chair of our Professional Certifications Programs in Edmonton. He has recently been awarded the Regional Certification Award from ASIS International HQ and the Professional Certification Board. Dale will be recognized at this year's conference in Orlando for his years of committed dedication toward the successful delivery of professional certification programs in Edmonton. Many of you probably don't realize that through Dale's efforts, Edmonton has been a regional leader of CPP Review Programs. For example, when I was first overseas in Doha, Qatar and looking to develop a CPP and PCI Review, Dale came forward and shared the success of the Edmonton program by providing everything I needed to launch a similar program in Qatar. Our success there was a direct result of Dale and his team's success in Edmonton. There are many more examples like this across Canada and around the globe.

 

Dale, on behalf of the Chapter and myself personally, please accept our gratitude and sincere congratulations on an award well-deserved.
